I thought I would take the opportunity to tell you about the great work the town centre neighbourhood team conducted last week. 

Early into the tour of duty PC Stott noticed a group of upset children and assisted them in getting some conkers.

In the late evening whilst doing high visibility patrols on Market Street PC STOTT, PCSO Laidlow and PCSO HARDMAN noticed some suspicious activity from one of the local shops. PC STOTT has detained a male and his vehicle. Following a search under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act two large bags of  illegal cigarette were recovered and the store in question reported to trading standards. 

We are aware that the sale of 'dodgy vapes', illegal tobacco and drug paraphernalia is an issue and we are working closely with trading standards to police the store identified in Chorley.
